The energy transition in inland shipping is entering a decisive phase with the introduction of the Temporary Subsidy Scheme for Early Upscaling of the Energy Transition in Inland Vessels (2026–2029) by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. This scheme provides Dutch shipowners with financial support for the transition to sustainable propulsion technologies such as electric power, hydrogen, and methanol, thereby giving a significant boost toward emission-free navigation. At the same time, this development requires technical expertise and a well-considered approach. Marine Service Noord positions itself as an experienced partner, supporting shipowners and shipyards in realizing future-proof and safe solutions.
